General Questions

What is the date and location of Air Dot Show New York?

The 2024 edition of Air Dot Show New York is scheduled to take place August 10-11, 2024 at Orange County Airport in Montgomery, New York.

What time is the show on Saturday and Sunday?

Gates open at 9 am on Saturday and Sunday. The Flight Line Club and Corporate Chalets will open at 10 am on Saturday and Sunday.

The aerial portion of the show runs from noon to approximately 4:00 pm.

What time is the practice on Friday?

Practice schedules are subject to change and are therefore not published. You will likely see planes flying all throughout the week prior to the show. We are unable to post our practice schedules as they are subject to change. We recommend checking the latest news blog on our website for arrival and flight updates on all your favorite acts.

Will the schedule be the same both days?

All the major acts, which you can see on our Performer Page, will perform both days. The specific line-ups of each day’s show are posted about 1-2 weeks prior to the show.

Will there be aircraft on ground display?

Yes, there will be military aircraft on ground display.

Can I come and go from the parking lots to the event site?

Due to security and check in procedures, no re-entry is permitted.  Please make sure you have everything you need to enjoy the full day at the air show when you enter upon arrival.

Will there be a radio broadcast of the show's narration?

The narration of the event will only be available via the PA system inside the event site

Do you recommend ear protection for children?

Ear protection is highly recommended, especially for children under 5 who may be startled by the noise of the aerial performance teams.

How do I request media credentials?

Please contact our Director of Public Relations, Chris Dirato at pr@air.show no later than 2 weeks prior to the show. Due to the volume of request, please note that only credentialed media are eligible for media credentials to the event.

Where is the Lost & Found located?

Lost and Found will be located in a tent near show center. Please email info@air.show regarding lost items following the show.

Are there static plane displays that I can see?

We will have a limited number of aircraft on static display inside the event site.

Does my child need a ticket?

This all depends on what type of seating you desire.

Children 5 and under are free in the General Admission seating area and do not need a ticket.

Children 2 and under are free and considered a “lap infant” in the Flight Line Club VIP and Preferred Seating. Any children 3 and older or that require their own seat must have a ticket.

All people, regardless of age, count toward our 4-person limit for the Lawn Box seating. Your purchase of a one Lawn Box includes entry for up to four individuals per box. You can also purchase a 5th child lawn box ticket (ages 12 and under) by contacting our Box Office at the phone number listed above.

Security Questions

What should I bring to the show?

Sunscreen, ear protection and up to a one liter sealed bottle of water.  If you are in General Admission bring your own chairs.  A personal size umbrella is also permissible for shade from the sun.

Can I bring food or drink?

No outside food or beverage is allowed besides 1L of water per person. There will be food and beverage vendors on site with food available for purchase.

If you have an allergy, sensitivity, or other food concern, please contact our customer service team at info@air.show for further instructions.

Are backpacks and bags allowed inside the event?

Backpacks and bags are allowed, but will be subject to security inspection upon entrance. All prohibited items mentioned in these FAQs will be confiscated or guests will be asked to return them to their vehicles.

Can I smoke or vape?

No smoking or vaping is permitted on the airport grounds

Are cameras and video recorders allowed?

Yes, feel free to take as many photos/videos as you would like.

Can I bring my dog/cat/pet?

No. pets cannot be brought into the event site.

Are wagons and strollers allowed?

Yes, just please be courteous to other guests around you. May be subject to search.

Can I bring a BBQ grill?

BBQ Grills are strictly prohibited.

Seating Questions

Do I need to bring my own chairs?

If you are in General Admission or the Lawn Boxes we recommend bringing chairs.  Preferred Seating and Flight Line Club VIP include seating so you can leave your chairs at home.

Can I bring a tent, awning, or pop-up shade?

Due to safety concerns for all patrons, personal tents, awnings, and beach umbrellas are not allowed. Personal hand-held umbrellas are allowed.

Is there shaded seating?

Shade is limited as the show viewing area is out in direct sunlight. You will be allowed to bring a hand-held personal umbrella, but no other beach umbrella, tent, or awning. Shades that are attached to beach chairs are fine.

Accessibility Questions

Will there be handicap access to the show?

Our air show is ADA compliant.  For guests with disabilities, we recommend giving yourself just a little bit of extra time to get down to the seating areas.

Is there handicap parking?

Yes, there are handicap parking spots in all lots. Please show your handicap placard to the parking attendants when you arrive

Where do I buy parking?

All ticket levels INCLUDE parking. Your parking pass will be sent via email. We do recommend printing it out to have on hand to show the parking attendants. There is no additional parking available for purchase.

What if I need another parking pass?

Please reach out to our customer service team at info@air.show with the subject line “Additional Parking Pass Request.” Please note that parking is limited and we may not be able to accommodate additional parking passes.

Disclaimer and Rain Policy

What if there is inclimate weather ?

Please note that Air Dot Show New York is a gated event and tickets are required for entry. Tickets are non-refundable.

In the event of non-authorized intervention, weather or other causes beyond control, the event may be terminated early. If the event is cancelled in its entirety due to an occurrence outside of the control of Event Management on one or both days, Event Management, at its sole discretion, may attempt to make an accommodation the following day or at next year’s event for discounted admission.

Photographs, video and other recordings (collectively referred to as “Images”) may be taken during the event. They may include your recognizable likeness and/or that of any minor accompanying you. By utilizing this ticket (purchased or provided at no charge), or other pass or credential you consent that you and any minor accompanying you may be included in such Images. You authorize Event Management to use such Images in any forms of media now known or later developed for marketing, promotional, advertising and publicity purposes, and/or posting on any event websites and social media accounts, all without compensation to you. Additionally, by utilizing this ticket or other pass or credential, you agree that all Images you take, in and around the event, and published or shared online can be used by Event Management at any time for archiving, marketing, promotional, advertising and publicity purposes without compensation, recognition or attribution to you.
