This event is on August 24, 2019 9:00 am

The New York Air Show’s home at Stewart International Airport provides the opportunity to have aircraft on ground display along with simulators, exhibits, a kids zone and much more. The display and viewing area encompasses over 40 acres on the South side of the airfield so plan to come early and enjoy everything there is to see! Over 30 military and civilian aircraft will be on display in the air and on the ground.  Gates open at 9:00 am!

  1. Sue Spradling says:

Are the “flight line tent” and the “sponsor tents” the same ( do you need a different wristband to enter a sponsor tent) or are they separate?

    • NY Air Show says:

The sponsor area is a specific tent for the businesses that have sponsored our event and have their own badging and credentials. The VIP Flight Line Club is nearby and has its own credentials as well.

  2. Ian Pearson says:

Are the Red Arrows and Blue Angels flying on both days or is it one of them to headline sat and one to headline sun.

    • NY Air Show says:

Hey Ian, yes, the Red Arrows and the Blue Angels will both be performing on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25. It’s going to be a real treat to get to see them both!

  3. Samantha says:

We have tickets for the 24th. I am aware gates open 9, but what time does the actual show start? How long does it take to park and walk over to the show? What is a safe bet to come in terms of time?

    • NY Air Show says:

The aerial portion of the show runs from noon to about 4 pm. You will want to give yourself an extra hour or hour and a half to get parked and get through the gates, as crowds are heavy for this event all morning long. In addition, even if you are early, there are static displays of planes to go look at to occupy your time.

    • NY Air Show says:

The aerial portion of the show runs from noon to about 4 pm, with the Blue Angels ending the show. The specific line-up schedule of flights will be posted approximately a week before the show when it is cleared by the FAA and the Air Boss.

  4. Stanley Ip says:

I have bought the Preferred Seating ticket, that means I do not need to bring my chair?
Also, I want to purchase the Pre-paid parking but do not see the link. How can I do that?
    Thanks,

  5. Stanley Ip says:

I want to upgrade to Preferred Seating and want to know gate opens at 9am and Preferred Seating opens at 10am. What does it means?

    • NY Air Show says:

The main gates open at 9 am to get into the show. Then you can look at the static displays until the designated time that the preferred seating area opens at 10 am. Or, you can feel free to arrive closer to 10 am and go straight to your preferred seating.

  6. Mark Zabala says:

Where is general parking? i am coming from New York City can you provide directions is it the base or the airport?

    • NY Air Show says:

General parking will be in a designated grass area near the airport. You can see information for getting to the airshow here on Stewart’s website.
