  1. NY Air Show says:

Hey Sean – thanks so much for your feedback. That’s a really great suggestion that our team will talk about in our debrief regarding the Preferred Seating area! Our volunteers in the area didn’t feel comfortable “policing” where our guests sat, but it created some uncomfortable situations. We’ll definitely brainstorm some ways to improve it in 2019 and beyond. But we’re really glad that it didn’t spoil your son’s enjoyment of the show! He’s who we do this for!

  2. Francine says:

First time at the New York Show. Extremely impressed on how many buses available to transport people back and forth. Very short waiting times. Also the state trooper presence directing traffic. Ease of leaving ther airport. We are from PA and have already purchased tickets for 2019 show!!! Awesome organization by all!!! The show was remarkable…

  3. Ralph says:

We went to the Sunday show yesterday, it was a great day to fly and truly it was incredible! From the parachute demonstrations, to the acrobatic flying and of course the Thunderbird’s were absolutely fantastic! My 11 year old was in complete awe and so were my wife and myself!!!! My daughter met the pilots and some of the Thunderbird ground crew too . She got some great pictures and autographs. The static displays were great to see and the crews that were there were willing to answer questions and couldn’t be nicer.

The parking was easy, the preferred seating was outstanding and easy too… Truly Truly truly a fantastic show all around!

Not sure if I should post this here but I just wanted to let you know, we had a great time and will be back next year for the Blue Angels!!!!

  4. Stan says:

I have tickets that say Chalet on them. I am not seeing them as a purchase option. Is there a difference between Chalet and other areas?

        • NY Air Show says:

Hey JF, is the Chalet one of the sponsor tents, or the “friends of the air show” tickets that are given out by performers in the show? If you would, email us at and we’ll steer you where you need to go. We have to know which type of tickets they are to be able to tell you what is included because it varies depending on the area. Thanks!

    • NY Air Show says:

There is a tented eating area in the preferred seating, but no, the general seats are not shaded in order to provide visibility to see the aerial performances.

  5. Heather Harris-Keddy says:

I bought my tickets weeks ago. I have not received my preferred parking pass by email as of yet. When should I expect it?

    • NY Air Show says:

We’ll reach out to our box office and ensure you get your parking passes shortly! Thanks for letting us know so we can get it over to you.

  6. val says:

this will be our first visit to the show and we are staying at the four points at the airport.
I am assuming we can park at the hotel and walk to the grounds? do I need to bring a
    folding chair? thx

    • NY Air Show says:

We’d recommend checking with your hotel if they will have a shuttle bus running – you may not be able to walk depending on the restrictions in place at the airport. For preferred seating guests, you will be provided a chair. General admission guests do need to bring their own chairs.

  7. Irina says:

Do holders of ‘preferred seating’ tickets get general parking spots or some special parking dedicated to preferred seats?

    • NY Air Show says:

Hey Rob, there is currently a 25% discount on all tickets across the board. Yes, all attendees do need their own ticket. Thanks so much!

  8. Laut says:

Is there preferred parking as in years past? If so, what is the price and where do I find it on the web site ticket purchase page?

  9. Irina says:

I was under impression that a preferred ticket would include ‘preferred parking’ (somewhere closer to the viewing area, with less time in line, etc.), not just general parking, was I mistaken? I see “PARK 1” on my parking ticket (which I got with preferred seating). What does Park 1 mean?

    • NY Air Show says:

Yes, your preferred seating ticket includes parking – you will be emailed your parking pass within the next couple weeks.

      • Irina says:

Yes, I have gotten the parking ticket. It says “Park 1”. My questions were: (1) is it just a general parking spot or is there a parking dedicated to preferred seats (that is either easier accessible then general parking or will take less time in line to get parked, etc) and (2) what does “Park 1 ” mean (is it a special parking lot)?

    • NY Air Show says:

Hi Toni, our food & beverage concessionaire makes every effort to ensure menu item options are suitable for all guests. Please see our FAQ section for more information.

  10. JOHN GORSAGE says:

I am a handicapped guy in that I use a cane and walk slowly even when I need to go. Before I can select my Preferred Seating seats, I would like to know which section from 101 to 110 is best for me to choose? Thanks much, enjoy the show!

    • NY Air Show says:

Hey John, you might want to try 105 or 106. It’s got the best view of show center and should have reasonable access. If you need help getting to your seat, please also look for any of the great people in volunteer shirts. They’d be happy to assist.

    • NY Air Show says:

Hey Brett, we have designated food vendors available in the preferred seating area with food and drinks for purchase. Each guest is allowed one 1-liter bottle of water, but no coolers with outside food and drink are allowed in the show. The great thing about the preferred seating is that the numbers are limited, so you’ll have little-to-no wait in the food lines!
