  1. Bobby Reed says:

A friend and I attended the Saturday events yesterday. We had VIP seating and enjoyed the show, except for one thing. Why does the music have to be played at such a high volume, and who selects the score? It was difficult to hear the announcer over the background music, and, based on my analysis, the genre of singers are probably totally unknown to the vast majority of attendees.

This issue needs to be addressed!

    • NY Air Show says:

The music and volume levels are all dictated by each performer. We’ll provide some feedback to them. Thanks for pointing that out.

    • NY Air Show says:

Children under 2 are free in the Flight Line Club. Everyone else will need a ticket to enter the VIP area.

  2. Carolyn says:

I have tickets to the Chalet. Is there seating available in the Chalet? Also are food and beverages included or available with the Chalet tickets?

  3. BillB says:

I’m confused about the F-35s appearance. I’ve been told that they’ll be flying a demo routine, yet the Sunday flight schedule only lists a ‘heritage’ fly-by. Are they actually flying a full demo routine, only a fly-by with the 2 other planes, or both? Thanks!

  4. Jon says:

Do General Admission tickets get you into the ground display area and the opportunity to sit in the display planes?

Are you allowed to bring a chair with an attached canopy or umbrella? Also, I purchased adult tickets but I have extra and want to use them for my nieces who are 10 yeas old, is that allowed?

  6. Hyman Sandel says:

Can i stay with my car at the parking area? and if yes, how much of the show will be visible from the parking area?

    • NY Air Show says:

I have purchased tickets for the airshow. I have the confirmation letter/receipt. I never got actual printed tickets with a bar code. I believe that is what I received last year. Could you send my tickets, via email to me please or is my confirmation receipt good enough? Thank you

    • NY Air Show says:

The confirmation email is not valid for entry. Your tickets should be attached to that confirmation email and the attachment is named “tickets.pdf”. If you do not have these, please give our box office a call at 877.877.7677 and they will get you squared away.

  13. James R says:

Hi I am visiting from Australia and am staying in hotel near airfield (Newburgh). What is the best way using public transport from New York City to get to air show. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    • J. says:

MetroNorth Train to Beacon and then taxi /car to your Newburgh hotel. (Nice, scenic, runs along the Hudson)

Or Shortline bus to Newburgh and again, taxi/car to hotel.

      NYC to Newburgh is 60miles.

  15. Chris says:

Hello, if my family arrives at 9 for the activities, and leaves the chairs in the car, I wont be allowed to retrieve my chairs for the airshow? Id rather not leave my stuff out all morning. Sorry, I’m used to Jones Beach, might be my first airshow like this.

    • NY Air Show says:

That is correct, sir as re-entry is not allowed into the event. We’ve never had an issue with someone setting up their chairs and returning to their seats later.

    • Frank says:

I’ve setup chairs and blankets once I found a spot along the flight line and proceeded to walk around the static displays and enjoy the food and never had a problem with things being bothered. Flying starts at 12, so we’ve made our way back to sit and enjoy the show. Been to both shows and haven’t been disappointed yet. Looks like this will be another great day! Come and enjoy!

why is this event not free to the general public?
    .

    • NY Air Show says:

Those events are at military installations where the infrastructure to put on an airshow is paid for by tax payer dollars. We are just a private organization trying to bring an airshow (with a lot of expenses) to the Hudson Valley Community!

If we are bringing camping chairs, can we leave the covers on to make it easier to carry or do they need to come off for the inspection

Looking forward to the show & I hope the weather holds out for Sunday. I pre-purchased my tickets on-line which were supposed to be discounted because of doing that; however, the newspaper is advertising tickets for that day at $22.50 which is what I paid. Did I truly get a discount?

You will still enter through the main entrance, but you will be able to bypass the lines for onsite ticket sales which will expedite your entry into the show.

  29. Frank says:
